Sandra K. Schroeder age 68, passed away May 6, 2001 at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis with her husband Lee at her side.
She was born April 12, 1943 in Rushville the daughter of the late Raymond and Mildred (Holden) Sherwood. She graduated from New Salem High School in 1960 and was married to Lee A. Schroeder Sept. 3, 1961. She was a Homemaker but also worked many years for Rush County Schools and a Teacher's Aide.
Her memberships include Dana Indiana Community Volunteer Fire Department Aux; associate of Tri Kappa and St. Paul United Methodist Church where she had taught Sunday school worked with the youth groups several years.
Survivors include her husband Lee A. Schroeder of Rushville, daughters Kimberly (Jim) Hargis of Danville & Michelle (Victor) Quantana of Franklin; grandson Joshua Christopher (companion Heather May) of Terre Haute; one sister Coleen Lushell of Rushville; four brothers David (Marilyn) Sherwood of Andersonville, Bill (JoAnn) Sherwood of New Palestine, Harley (Halley) Sherwood of Rushville, Kermit (Judy) Sherwood of Rushville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, one brother and one half brother.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11am Wednesday May 11, 2011 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory with Pastor Jan Dimick officiating.
Burial will follow at Rushville's East Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday May10th from 4 to 8pm.
