Harley C. Sherwood, 87 of Andersonville, passed away on April 16, 2020 in Shelbyville. He was born on October 14, 1932 in Andersonville, IN to the late Raymond C. and Mildred F. (Holden) Sherwood. He married Hallie (Reece) Sherwood on February 11, 1956 and she survives. Harley was a lifelong farmer. He served his country in the United States Army. In addition to his wife, Hallie, he is survived by his son, Ronald (Jan) Sherwood of Shelbyville; daughters, Marilyn (Dan) Moore of West Monroe, LA, Betty (Richard) Decueber of Greensburg, and Joyce (Dennis) Bird of Wadesville; brothers, David (Marilyn) Sherwood of Andersonville and Kermit (Judy) Sherwood of Rushville . He will be missed by 4 grandchildren, Amy (Myles) Tabor, Amanda (John) McCullum, John Lewis, Jennifer (Jeremi) Thompson; 7 great-grandchildren, and one great-great- grandchild. Harley is preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Sherwood, Bill Sherwood, and Jim Sherwood; sisters, Carol Souder, Collen Lushell, and Sandra Schroeder. Graveside Services will be held privately for Harley's family at Stipps Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Mike Coyle presiding. Memorial contributions may be made out to American Heart Association and American Lung Association.
