Carol D. Souder,65, of Rushville,died Tuesday, Aug.27 in Rush Memorial Hospital. Born in Rushville on Jan. 26,1937,she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Mildred(Holden) Sherwood.
Mrs. Souder, a 1955 graduate of New Salem High School,was a homemaker and worked for Priddy Fabrics in Rushville for 17 years. Mrs. Souder was a avid quilter and a charter member of the Food,Fad and Fashion Home Ec. Club. She attended Center Christian Church.
Surviving are her husband,Harold Souder whom she married Feb. 8,1957;one son,Steven (wife:Ashley) Souder of Rushville;four daughters,Teresa (husband:Mike)Bonne of Knightstown,Cathy (husband: Greg)Pratt of Rush County,Cindy Beckner of Arlington, and Shari(husband:Bruce)Davis of Rushville;six brothers,Jim Sherwood of Glenwood, Harley Sherwood of Andersonville,Charles Sherwood of Warsaw,Dave Sherwood of Andersonville, Bill Sherwood of New Palestine and Kermit Sherwood of Rushville;two sisters, Colleen Lushell of Rushville and Sandra Schroeder of Rushville;and eight granchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday,Aug.30 at the Todd Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. David Bonne officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
