Mrs. Tansel was a homemaker and had worked at the Wilson Brothers Shirt Factory and JC Penneys, both in Crawfordsville. She was a 1945 graduate of Wingate High School..

In addition to her husband, she is survived by nieces and nephews..

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, infant Donald, Kenneth, Clifford, Cliston and Cyril Allen; sisters, Thelma Allen, Violet Miller, Norma Wilson and infant Eleanor Allen..

A public graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at the Wolf Creek Cemetery (Highway 234W and C.R. 600E, near Shades State Park), with the Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. There will not be a visitation at the funeral home..
