MRS. PEARL LANE
Gate City- Mrs. Pearl Mae Lane, 66, of Route 3, died late Saturday night at St. Mary's Hospital in Norton after a long illness.
She was a lifelong resident of Scott County and a member of Smith's Chapel Church in Gate City.
She is survived by her husband, Grover S. Lane, Gate City; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Jo Anna) Henry, Weber City and Mrs. Bill (Mary Ruth) Henderson, Bardstown, Ky.; three sons, Jackie C. Lane, Appalachia, Va., Jimmy E. Lane, East Providence, RI. and Grover S. Lane Jr., Norton; two sisters, Mrs. Callie Smith and Mrs. Lonie Smythe, both of Gate City; four brothers, Garland, Pat, Delaney and Robert Herron, all of Gate City; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Gate City Funeral Home is in charge.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Mae Lane will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday from the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the Gate City Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Holston View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Lane, Jimmy Gibson, Charles Henry, Dean Johnson, Jack Johnson and Junior Coleman. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Gate City Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
