E. A. Sandlin Called Home. Funeral services will be held at Verdon, Okla., Baptist church this afternoon for Edgar A. Sandlin, who died at his home, Chickasha, Okla., 1, saturday afternoon at three o'clock of a heart attack. He was 74 years of age.
Mr. Sandlin is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dona Patterson Sandlin; a daughter, Miss Margarette Sandlin; a son, Eugene Sandlin, of Chickasha, Okla., four brothers, P. W. Sandlin, P. H. Sandlin, Decatur, J. B. Sandlin, Danville, Neal Sandlin, Brighton, Colo., five sisters, Mrs G. J. Widner, Mrs. J. M. Sams, Mrs. J. M. Wilkerson, Mrs. Ike Clendenon, all of Decatur 2, Mrs. J. F. Dillehay.
Edgar A. Sandlin was born in Morgan County but moved to Chickasha 51 years ago, homesteading in the Indian Territory, came back to Alabama in December 1905. He married Miss Dona Patterson of Lacon, Ala., returning the same month to his home, with his bride to Chickasha, where they have lived since date of marriage.
He was a prominent farmer, a deacon for many years of the Oklahoma Baptist church at Verdon.
He made several visits to his native Morgan County during the 51 years he lived in Oklahoma.
