Mrs. Daniel Shaner, of Olean, N. Y., died Thursday, October 6, 1932, at 10 o’clock
a.m., and was buried Saturday, October 8, at 2 o’clock p. m. at Olean. Mrs. Shaner was a daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Over, and was born in Piney Township, near Sligo, 75 years ago. She was married at the old homestead farm to Daniel Shaner, who died about seven years ago. She is survived by three sons and five daughters, all of whom live in the vicinity of Olean. Three brothers and two sisters also survive, namely: Elkana Over, Monroe Township; Luther Over, Clarion; Frank Over, Curllsville; Mrs. Ambrose Lerch, Sligo; Mrs. Lizzie Kifer, N. S. Pittsburgh. A number of grandchildren also survive. Deceased was a devout and faithful member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Among those who attended the funeral were Luther Over, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Nale, of Clarion, and Mrs. E. I. Weeter, of Licking township.

Many Bradford friends today mourned the passing of Mrs. Lina Shaner of Olean, the mother of Mrs. W. C. Hogan of 135 Congress street, this city. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter A. Kaiser, 225 North First street in Olean. Burial will be in the Mount View cemetery. Mrs. Shaner, aged 75, had been in ill health for some time previous to her death which occurred Wednesday night at 10:15 o’clock at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Franck C. Cook, 128 South First street. She was frequently in this city visiting Mrs. Hogan and possessed a wide circle of friends in this locality. She was a member of the First Methodist church of Olean. She is survived by three sons, Frank Shaner, Warren; Clifford Shaner, New Kensington and Clarence Shaner of Joplin, Mo.; five daughters, Mrs. Frank C. Cook, Mrs. Walter A. Kaiser, both of Olean, Mrs. Floyd E. Dillinger, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Frank Webster, Painted Post, N. Y. and Mrs. W. C. Hogan of this city.
