Claudine Bacon Bland, 97, died Tuesday,March 29, 2011 at Evans Memorial Hospital. The tattnall County native had lived in Glennville all her life. She was a homemaker and loved to cook and share her recipes with friends and family. She was a life long member of Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class and Ladies Circle. She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Bessie Kicklighter Bland, Husband,Leon Bland, great granddaughter,Katie Wells, Sons in law Billy Wells and Darrell Sutton.

She is survived by Children; Derrell and Eileen Bland, Willie and Judy Bland, all of Glennville, Bessie Jeans Wells of Brunswick, Maridean and Carrol Brewton of Jesup, Snadra Sutton of Claxton. Special son, Don Kicklighter of Brunswick; Sisters, Frances Bouy, Willene Brewton and Johnnie Lou Mitchell all of Savannah. Sixteen grandchildren, Thirty Five great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Thursday,March 31, 2011 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, April 1, 2011 at Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Elder David Summerford officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Grandsons.
