Ronald K. Kutzner, 77, of rural Keokuk, IA died Sunday, March 20, 2011 at the Keokuk Area Hospital following an automobile accident.

He was born December 27, 1933 in Scotland County, MO the son of Paul and Elsie Green Kutzner.

Ronald was a graduate of the Scotland County High School in Memphis, MO.

Ronald owned and operated the Kutch Press Print Shop for over thirty years in Marengo, IL. He also had been employed as an over the road truck driver for 5-D Enterprise, Holland Trucking and several other truck lines over the years.

He was a member of the Jaycee's in his younger years. He enjoyed driving stock cars, raising miniature horses, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed woodworking and made many bird houses, shelves and wall hangings. Ron never met a stranger and he could strike up an interesting conversation with anyone. He loved his family and kids and enjoyed spending time with them.

He is survived by one daughter, Kathy McCartney and her husband Dan of Keokuk, IA one son, Ron Kutzner and his wife Barb of Keokuk, one granddaughter, Amy Harlow of Lincoln NE, three sisters, Roberta Fogle and her husband Paul of Jefferson City, MO, Patricia Baker and her husband David of Heber Springs, AR and Marianna Lee of Williamsburg, VA, one brother, Paul Kutzner of Keokuk, IA, several nieces, nephews and cousins and his special dog, Budroe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, George Kutzner, Walter Kutzner and Robert Kutzner, two sisters, Ilene Mathes and Marvel Adams.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 23, from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with the family meeting with friends at that time.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 2 at the Memphis Cemetery in Memphis, MO with Brother Bill Hauser officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Memphis Cemetery Mowing Fund, the Keokuk Humane Society or the Jackson Township Fire Department.
