Lois Ilene Mathes, 74, of Moriarity, NM, formerly of Memphis, MO, died October 14, 2004, at her home.
She was born the daughter of Paul and Elsi (Green) Kutzner on February 16, 1930, in Memphis, MO.
Ilene married Leonard Mathes. He survives.
She graduated from Highland University in Las Vegas, NM, with a Bachelor and Master's degree in Business Administration. Ilene was employed as an Internal Auditor for Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, David and Larry Mathes; three brothers, Robert, Walter, and George Kutzner; and a sister, Marvelle Adams.
She is survived by her husband of the home; two sons, Terry Mathes and his wife, Kathleen of Moriarity and Jeremy Mathes and Chriss Harris of Florida; a daughter, Denise Beasley and husband, Terry of Missouri; two brothers, Keith and Eldon Kutzner; three sisters, Marianna Lee, Roberta Fogle, and Patricia Baker and her husband, David; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 23, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Memphis, MO, with Terry Beasley officiating. Pallbearers will be Farley Kutzner, Chris Kutzner, Kelly Kutzner, Doug Mathes, Joshua Mathes, and Jim Lepper. Visitation will be prior to the service. Burial will be in the Memphis Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Gerth Funeral Service from their Memphis chapel.
