Funeral services held for Mrs. Hazel Lowe
Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Pyles Lowe, age 65, of Quitman, were held Saturday, August 14, at 10:00 AM in the Sweetwater Baptist Church, with Rev. Wayne Tomas and Rev. R. A. Holloway officiating.
Interment was in the church cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Mrs. Lowe died early Thursday morning in the Jackson Parish Hospital after a long illness.
Survivors include her husband, Jessie Lowe of Quitman; three sons, Nil Lowe and Marvin Lowe, both of Quitman, and Melvin Lowe of Helena, Montana;
One daughter, Mrs. Rachel Pellegrin of Belle Chase; three brothers, Johnny Pyles and Jackie Pyles, both of Quitman and J. S. Pyles of Indiana;
Four sisters, Mrs. Magnolia Vail, Quitman, Mrs. Claudine Turner, Hodge, Mrs. Martiel Gray and Mrs. Cassiel Gray both of San Antonio, Texas; 29 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren also survive.
Pallbearers were Ernest Lowe, Jackie Lowe, Jimmy Pyles, Charles R. Pyles, Lester Martin and Richard Vail.
