Edward Taylor was the first son of John Taylor Gilliland/Mary E. Kinnett. He was born in Iowa on Aug. 21, 1972. He married Effie Unger and had at least three sons (Paul Ellsworth, Robert Edward, & Richard Harold) and 3 daughters (Mary Margarette, Ruth W., & Doris Ann). He lived in Spokane for 11 years before his death on Sept. 13, 1918. His death certificate lists Fairmount as the place of burial on Sept. 19, 1918.
