Isaac Taylor, one of a trio of brothers who were Methodist circuit riders emerging from a Methodist society in the Clay, Alabama area.He was known for being a passionate evangelist, once famously carrying pistols into the pulpit to ward off town bootleggers attempting to disrupt his revival services to restart a disbanded church in State Line, Alabama.
