Anna Thompson, age 74, of Caledonia, MN, died 11 Sep 2007, at Caledonia Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born 6 May 1933 in Pickwick, MN, to John and Oline (Westgard) Babler. She was a graduate of Winona High School. Anna married Helmer 'Junior' Thompson on 3 Nov 1956 in Winona, MN. She had worked for many years at the Garment Company, now known as the Company Store, until her retirement. Anna enjoyed fishing, gardening, and Saturday afternoon card games with friends. She was a charter member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in La Crescent, MN. Anna was a loving wife and mother and a beloved friend to many. To all those who knew and loved her, Anna always put the needs of others before her own. Anna is survived by four daughters, Lisa Loomis of Caledonia, Patty Thompson of La Crescent, Sharon (Michael) Frauenkron of Mabel, MN, and Michelle Duffy of Winona; one son, Michael Thompson of Arizona; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Bob (Bev) Babler of Winona; and one sister, Ada Wilson of Clinton, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Helmer, her parents; an infant son, John; eight brothers and one sister. Services were held 17 Sep 2007 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in LaCrescent, MN and burial in Mount Hope Cemetery in Hokah, MN by her husband.
