Oline Westgard was born 19 Aug 1896 in Monroe, Green Co., WI to Andrew Westgard, and Lena Nelson. She married John Dietrich Babler on 23 Dec 1916 in Monroe, WI. Their first 6 children were born there before they moved to Ridgeway, Winona Co., MN.
Oline and John had 12 children. Twins Harold and Henry Babler were adopted in infancy by Effie and Obert Hanson, and renamed, Charles & Henry Hanson. Mrs. Hanson had been the midwife at the birth.
Oline died in a Sanitorium in Wabasha, MN of tuberculosis when she was just 50 years old on 9 May 1946, and is buried in Bush Cemetery in Ridgeway, Winona Co., MN.
Surviving Mrs. Babler were her husband, John; children, Ralph, Albert, William, Richard, John Jr., Matthew, Charles, Henry, Robert, Mary Ann, Ada, & Anna.
