Mrs. Ethel Cowger
NAMPA — Requiem Mass for Mrs. Ethel Cowger, 77, who died Thursday here, will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday at St. Paul's Catholic Church I with the Rev. Fr. James E. Pratt, S.M., celebrant. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m., Monday at the Shepherd Chapel.
She was born Oct. 28, 1885, in Riverton, Iowa, and moved to Nampa In 1929 from Minnesota, residing here since that time. She was married to George W. Cowger in Riverton, Aug. 19, 1903. He died in 1958. Mrs. Cowger was a member of St. Paul's Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. R. W. (Evelyn) Thompson of Nampa, Mrs. Leo (Isabel) Savoie of Farihault, Minn.; and Mrs. Roscoe (Alice) Ekleberry of Boise; five sons, Darrel of Nampa, Earl of Bowmont, Willis and Alfred of Meridian, and Warren Cowger of Portland; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Boese of Omaha, Mrs. Edith Schnoor of Riverton, and Mrs. Eva Cowger of Marysville, Mo.; two brothers, Vern Ackley in Nebraska, and Harry Ackley of Riverton; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
