Earl Evans Cowger, 92, of Nampa, passed from this life Thursday, December 31, 1998, at home. At his request, no services will be held. Cremation is under the direction of Persons Funeral Chapel.

Earl was born in Hamburg, Iowa on July 25, 1906, to George and Ethel Ackley Cowger. He married Dorothy Lux on November 19, 1929, in Wells, Minnesota. From this union, three children were born. They moved to Nampa in 1932, where he farmed in the surrounding areas most of his life.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Juanita Boss of Klamath Falls, Ore.; a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Leon Farnworth of Boise; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Roberta Cowger of Nampa; two brothers, Willis (Pete) and Warren, both of Nampa; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, two brothers and three great-grandchildren.
