Isabel D. Savoie, 79, of Nampa, died Saturday, May 13, 1989, at the Nampa hospital Christian wake services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa, by the Rev. Father Merle J. Fisher, S.M. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
Mrs. Savoie was born Nov 7, 1909, in Missouri, to George and Ethel Ackley Cowger. She moved with her family to Iowa, where she was raised and attended school. She later moved to Minnesota, where she met and married Beryl A Gustafson Oct. 7, 1926, at Blue Earth, Minn. They lived in several communities in Minnesota in the course of his employment Mr. Gustafson died in January 1953. She married Leo J. Savoie Dec. 21, 1962, at Faribault, Minn. They moved to Nampa in 1967. Mr. Savoie died Oct. 19, 1983.

She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Robert L. and Carol Gustafson of Nampa; a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Gerald Christensen of San Diego, Calif ; four brothers, Earl Cowger and Albert Cowger, both of Kuna, Willis "Pete" Cowger of Eagle and Warren Cowger of Nampa; a sister, Alice Ekleberry of Boise; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, a son, Darrel Gustafson, a sister, Evelyn Thompson, and a brother, Darrel Cowger, preceded her in death.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. today; 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday; and until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa.
