Miss M. P. Cain. County Employee
Miss Mary P. Cain, 9010 Noyes, former switchboard operator in the Oneida County Court House and the County Hospital in Utica, died unexpectedly Mar. 14, 1955, in her home. She was born in Waterville daughter of Thomas and Anna Stasia Ryan Cain. She was a resident of Utica since 1898. For many years Miss Cain was a floor lady in the finishing department in one of the Utica Knitting Mills. She later became a switchboard operator at the County Court House and Hospital. Miss Cain was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. She leaves four sisters, Mrs. James F. Rogers, Miss Catherine V. Cain, Mrs. Henry A. Helmers and Mrs. Winifred P. Noon, all of Utica; and a nephew, Thomas A. Cain, Jr., Madison. The funeral will be at 9 Thursday from her home and at 9:20 from Sacred Heart Church where a solemn requiem high Mass will be offered. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Waterville.
