He and Doris Louise Elmore were married 3 March 1943, in Mertens. He moved to Olney in 1950 from Holliday. He worked for the Sinclair Oil Company for 16 years, and in 1973 began working for the City of Olney, retired in 1987 as the utilities superintendent.
Perry was a member of the First Baptist church, where he served as a deacon. He was a retired member of the Olney Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Olney Lions Club.
Survived by his wife; son - Larry Perry of Olney; daughter - Gala Badgley; three brothers - Jerry Perry, C.D. Perry, Marion Perry; sister - Ruth Williams; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by great-grandson - Jason Graham in 1996; brother - Roger Perry; three sisters - Doris Ballew, Ines Williams, Christine Ferrill.
