Perry Services Held In Mertens
Funeral services for Pearlie Perry, 91, were held Friday morning at Mertens First Baptist Church in Mertens with Rev. David Smith, pastor, officiating. She died May 16, in an Olney nursing home.
Bom March 19, 1899, in Guymon,, Okla., she was married in Dec. 1915, to W.R. "Bill" Perry. He preceded her in death in 1960. She was a member of Mertens First Baptist Church for 48 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Ruth Williams of Mertens; five sons, Billy Perry of Olney, C.D. Perry of Fort Worth, Roger Lee Perry of Whitehouse, James Earl Perry of Palestine and Marion Perry of Seagoville; one sister, Thelma Whitsitt of Dallas; 28 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and 13 great, great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three daughters. Burial was in Richland Cemetery in Mertens with arrangements under the direction of Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors of Hillsboro.
