Funeral services for Doris Nell Speights Trisler, age 78, of Jonesville will be held at First Baptist Church of Jonesville on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005 at 11 a.m. with Brother Lloyd Trisler and Brother Marshall Douglas officiating. Interment will follow at Pala Alto under the direction of Young's Funeral Home, Jonesville.
Mrs. Doris Nell Speights Trisler passed away Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005 at her residence in Jonesville.
She was a housewife and a member of the First Baptist Church of Jonesville.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy L. Speights; mother, Martha Elizabeth Speights; four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Wannie Trisler; son, Kenneth and wife Patty Trisler of Jonesville; daughter, Gloria and husband Bob Reeves of Ferriday; grandchildren, Heidi Adams, Emily Arnold, Bert, Luke and Lucy Reeves; great-grandchildren, Faith and Sorah Reeves; sisters, Myrtle Lea Cooper of Baton Rouge, Virginia Chevallier, Neta Middleton and Veta Riggs of Jonesville; and special friend and companion of 25 years, "Nana" Rosa Davis.
The pallbearers will be Bert Reeves, Luke Reeves, Leland Adams, Jr., Shane Arnold, David Alvin Chevallier, Charles Speights, Robert Speights and Leslie Speights.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society in Mrs. Trisler's honor.
