Fond du Lac Daily Commonwealth, June 14, 1917. A Pioneer is Dead. Mrs. Elizabeth HENNEN, wife of M.J. Hennen, died at 8:45 o'clock Saturday evening at  the family residence 249 Fourth Street. Mrs. Hennen was born in Muellenbach, Germany, June 28, 1845 and came with her parents to America in 1847, her father being Nicholas Walgenbach. She was married to M.J. Hennen, October 27, 1863. They settled on a farm in the town of Forest, which was their home until 1900 when they removed to this city. Ten children were born of this union. They are: Mrs. Mary Engels, this city; Mrs. Katharina Schmidlkofer, Mt. Calvary; John and J.E. Hennen, this city; Math, of Milwaukee; Mrs. Frances Houlihan, Dale; Mrs. Susie Loehr, Johnsburg; Frank, of this city; Mrs. Rose Skwor, Neosha; and Albert, deceased. There are also 37 grandchildren surviving, as well as three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Michels, Mt. Calvary; Mrs. Barbara Schmitz, this city; Sister Rosebia, and Sister Franceska, Notre Dame Convent, Milwaukee; three brothers, Frank and Nick Walgenbach of the town of Fond du Lac; Math of St. Cloud. Funeral services will be held at the residence at 9:30 o'clock Wednesday morning and at 10 o'clock from St. Mary's Church, with burial at Calvary Cemetery.
