Daily Commonwealth, Tues. Apr. 13, 1926, p.1:6. COUNTY PIONEER DIES AT CALVARY. Is Survived by Husband and Thirteen Children. Mrs. A.M. Michels, life long resident of Mt. Calvary, died at her home this morning at 3 o'clock after a lingering illness. She was 76 years old. Besides her husband she leaves thirteen children, Anton of Helena, Mont., Mrs. A.D. Tracy of Washtucna, Wash., Mrs. Charles Verheyen of Idaho, Frank of Elkhart, Mrs. Lawrence Schumacher and Christ Michels of Fond du Lac, Nick of St. Peter, John and JOseph of Sheboygan, Mrs. Samuel Kohli of Mt. Calvary, Mary, Louis and Anna at home. She also leaves twenty-seven grandchildren, one great grandchild and three (sic) brothers and one (sic) sister. They are Frank and Nick of the town of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Barbara Schmitz of Fond du Lac, Sr. M. Rosebia of Milwaukee and Sr. M. Francesca of San Antonio, Texas. Mrs. Michels was a member of the Christian Mothers Society of Mt. Calvary.

Daily Commonwealth, Wed. Apr. 14, p. 12:7. The funeral of Mrs. J.J. Michels, late of Mt. Calvary, will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning at Holy Cross church, Mt. Calvary, with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Bearers will be Hubert Weingartz, Nicholas Weber, William Eeber, Matt Schmitz, Anton Brenner, and Fred Bleuel.
