Coleman White died Saturday, Aug. 25 following a long illness.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28 in Ellis-Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery with Military Honors following. Visitation with the family will be Monday, Aug. 27 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Ellis Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
He was born March 27, 1924 in Royce City. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, fighting in the African and Italian Campaigns. He enlisted in June 1942 and was discharged in June 1946. Before retiring in 1996, he owned and operated an Italian restaurant in Midland. During his illness, he resided at the Flower Mound residence of his niece and her husband, Judy and Steve Kiddoo, along with his sister, Linda Jennings, formerly of Grapevine.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Carmela. He is survived by one son, Dennis White, of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Mary Barrett of Billings, Mont. and Virginia Genereux of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, Norman White of Burleson; sisters Linda Jennings of Flower Mound and Eva Lowrie of Bedford; 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The family requests memorials be directed to Lion Hospice, 1816 Norwood, Hurst, TX, 76051. "Forever In Our Hearts"
