Funeral Held for Roy Bott

Roy E. Bott, 90, rural Donnybrook, died Wednesday, November 9, 1984, at his home of natural causes. His funeral was held Saturday, November 12 in the Carpio Lutheran Church with burial in the Aurelia Cemetery, rural Donnybrook.
Officiating for the services was Pastor Joel Hernes. Active Casketbearers included Russell Bott, Dennis Schmidt, John Hauck, Val Bott, Clayton Knoepfle, and Kurt Engelhard.
He was born October 31, 1904, in a sod house on the Bott homestead in Ree Township, Ward County, near Donnybrook, a son of Valentine and Emma (Schwede) Bott. He attended country school in Ree Township. As a young man he worked for a coal mine at Underwood, ND. and then on a dairy farm in Minnesota. He later returned to the Bott homestead and farmed in Ree Township raising cattle and horses for most of his entire lifetime. He never married.
He was a member of the Carpio and Berthold Senior Citizens.
He is survived by his brother, Ab-ner, Pocatello, Idaho; sisters, Mabel Moseng, Velva, and Florence Haidle, Fallon, Montana; sister-in-law, Edna Bott, Minot; and by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Rev. Earnie, Valen-tine, and Arthur.
Thompson - Larson Funeral Home of Kenmare handled the arrangements.
