Mrs. Emma Bott

CARPIO - The funeral for Mrs. Emma Bott, 90, rural Donnybrook, who died Saturday in a Minot hospital, will be Thursday at 2 in the Carpio Lutheran Church. Rev. Donald Thorp will officiate and burial will be in the spring at Moravian Cemetery at Aurelia. Pallbearers will be Norman Lee, Lynn Stockdill, Marlowe Erickson, Herman St. Aubin, Walter Mattei and Howard Rockeman.
Mrs., Bott was born at Milwaukee, Wis., May 15, 1878, to Mr. and Mrs. Frederich Schwede. In 1893 she moved to Springfield, Minn., with her parents and on Nov. 23, 1898, married Valentine Bott, at New Ulm, Minn.
They lived at Wabasso, Lamberton and Sanborn, Minn., before coming to North Dakota in 1901. They homesteaded 10 miles south of Donnybrook, in Ree Township, Ward County. Mr. Bott died in June 1959. Mrs. Bott continued to live on the homestead with a son, Roy.
Surviving are five sons, Rev. Earnie Bott, Laurel, Mont., Val. C. of Dunseith, Roy and Arthur of Donnybrook, and Abner of Pocatello, Idaho; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Mabel) Moseng, Benedict, and Mrs. Bill (Flor-ence) Haidle, Fallon, Mont., 18 grand-children; and 13 great - grandchildren; and three sister, Mrs. Augusta Werner, Menomonee Falls, Wis., Mrs. Lena Wellhausen, Salem, Ore., and Mrs. Al-vina Klein, Seattle, Wash.
