Daughter of Charles and Adeline McDonald/MacDonnell Adams, she was married, lived at Polk RD 2, Victory Twp, died in Franklin Hospital of a cerebral thrombosis due to cerebral sclerosis, arteriosclerosis, and diabetes, per death certificate 47822, whose informant was C. O. Moyer of the same address, and which gives her middle initial as D. Buried May 12 1952.


Oil City Derrick, May 10 1952 :

Mrs. Clara A Moyer, 61, wife of Charles O. Moyer of Polk, R D 2, died in the Franklin Hospital at 1 pm Friday (May 9), after a brief illness. She was taken to the Franklin Hospital about 1 pm Thursday. She was born in Polk on Jan. 3 1891, a daughter of Charles and Adaline McDonald Adams.


Surviving are a son, Harry, of Polk, RD2; a daughter, Mrs. Lois Bowman, who lives near Cleveland; one sister, Mrs. Oscar Miller of Franklin; two brothers, Riley Adams of Franklin and Park Adams of Erie.


The body has been removed to Barron Chapel in Franklin.

Services in memory of Mrs. Clara A Moyer, of Polk RD2 (Pittsburgh Road), who died Friday in the Franklin Hospital, were Monday afternoon in the Barron Chapel by Rev. BE Coleman, pastor if the First Evangelical United Brethren Church.


During the services, Rev. Coleman read the hymns, "In the Garden," "Beyond the Sunset," and "Abide With Me."


Interment was made in the Franklin Cemetery with pallbearers, Clyde H. Hovis, Norman A. Hovis, Carl D. Hovis, Charles H. Cummings, Boyd B. Cummings and Frank D. Kinnear.


Among those attending the service from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Bowman, Cleveland; Mr. and Mrs. Park J Adams, Erie; Mrs. Amy Cochran and Mrs. Bertha Shreckengost, Cambridge Springs, and Mrs. Carrie Riddle, Harrisville.
