Charlie O. Moyer, 69, of Polk RD 2, Springville, died at noon Friday at Bayview Hospital, Bay Village, OH, after a serious illness of two weeks. Son of William Harrison and Anna Croop Moyer, he was born in Victory Township April 27, 1886.


He had been spending the winter with his son-in-law and daughter, Mrs. G. L. Bowman, Lakewood, OH. He spent his entire life in the Victory Township area, had been a painter and decorator for more than 30 years, was retired, and was giving all his time to raisings gadioli at his home on the Pittsburgh Road. He was a paid up, live member of the Painters Union, and a member of the M. A Drake Council 850, Royal Arcanum.


On June 22, 1910, he married Clara D. Adams, who died May 9, 1952.


He was the last surviving member of his family. Surviving are a son, Harry Moyer of Polk RD 2; a daughter, Mrs. G. L. (Lois) Bowman, Lakewood, OH; and several nieces and nephews.


Services will be at 2 pm Monday at Barron Chapel with Rev. Joseph Wygant, retired Evangelical minister. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
