Daughter of Henry (b. Scotland) and Nancy Mahood (b. PA) MacDonnell, she married Isaac Charles Adams, was widowed, lived at 223 Pacific St, Franklin, died there of a cerebral hemorrhage, left side, essential hypertension, per death certificate 54466, whose informant was Riley Adams, 63 Venango St, Franklin. Buried Jun 24 1946.


Per Pennsylvania Marriage License, on Jul 8 1890 in Crawford County, Isaac C. Adams of Polk, laborer, who was 26 last Feb. 12, married Lucy Adeline McDonnell of Frenchcreek Township, Venango County, who was 18 last March 8, with the consent of her father, Albert H. McDonnell; first marriage for both.

Mrs. Adeline MacDonnell Adams, 74, well known resident of 223 Pacific St, died at her home at 7:15 am. Friday, following an illness of three weeks. Daughter of Henry and Nancy Mahood MacDonnell, she was born in Franklin March 8, 1872.


Her entire life was spent in Franklin and vicinity. She was a member of the First Evangelical Church. She had not been in good health for some time, but her condition only became serious three weeks ago.


In July 1880, she married Isaac Charles Adams, who died in January, 1924.


Surviving are children, Mrs. Clara Moyer, RD 2 Polk; Mrs. Ethel Miller, Riley Adams and Park Adams of Franklin; five sisters, Mrs. Alice Welton, Denver, CO, Mrs. John Boyer, RD 3 Franklin, Mrs. Arthur Goodwill, RD 1 Franklin, Mrs. Mabel Springer, Chicago, Mrs. Fred Estes, Greeley, CO; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.


Services will be at 2 pm Monday at Barron Chapel with Rev. B. E. Coleman, pastor of First Evangelical Church, officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
