Julia Anderson 1900-1983

Julia M. Anderson, 83, resident of Detroit Lakes, died Monday, August 22, at St. Mary's Hospital, in Detroit Lakes.
She was born March 4, 1900, in Clearwater County, Minnesota, to parents Phillip and Emma LaFontaine.
Her marriage to Sever Nelson, took place in Bagley, in 1916. They lived and farmed south of Bagley, until Mr. Nelson's death, in 1950. Since that time she has lived at Detroit Lakes. Her marriage to James Anderson, took place in Detroit Lakes, in 1970.
She is survived by one son, Amos Nelson, Cape Girardeau, Missouri; two daughters: Mrs. Kenneth (Elsie) Ferrie, Bagley, Mrs. Arnold (Erma) Haseth, Detroit Lakes; two brothers: Robert LaFontaine of Mesa, Arizona, and Lloyd LaFontaine of Shevlin; ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents; two sons; and six brothers.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 26, at 2:30 p.m., at the Bagley Elementary Auditorium. Presiding ministers will be Roger Ramsden and Jeff Slather.
Burial will be in the Bagley City Cemetery under the direction of the Cease Funeral Home of Bagley.
