Phil LaFontaine of Bagley, 80 years of age, was buried here this (Thursday) morning after services at 9 o'clock at the catholic church. Interment was made in the Bagley Cemetery. The Neujahr Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. LaFontaine was born January 6, 1858, at St. Stanislaus, Canada, and went to St. Paul when 17 years of age. He was united in marriage to Emma Thayer at Bemidji, and the couple resided at Clearwater Lake for several years, and had made their home around Bagley since.
Left to mourn are the wife and seven children, George, Julia, Mark, Alex, Lloyd and Robert of Bagley and Felix of Bemidji; 18 grandchildren; and one brother Theodore LaFontaine of Gastra, Michigan.
