The service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Salem United Church of Christ, 24 Franklin St., Jacobus. Burial will be in Salem Union Cemetery in Jacobus. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. The Robert M. Goodling Funeral Home, 62 Main St., Seven Valleys, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Arnold was born Aug. 5, 1908, in Shrewsbury Township. He was the son of the late William E. and Ida (Lerew) Arnold.
He worked in the maintenance department at Dentist Supply International in York, retiring in 1973 after eight years of service; prior to that, he worked at Hespenheide and Thompson for 40 years. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Jacobus.
Mr. Arnold also is survived by eight sons, Carl D. Arnold and Theodore E. Arnold, both of Jacobus, Richard L. Arnold and Roger E. Arnold, both of York, Robert L. Arnold of Wrightsville, Marvin L. Arnold of Landisville, George E. Arnold of Jackson, Mich., and Donald B. Arnold of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sterling Arnold and Earl Arnold, both of York; two sisters, Mary Schaefer of York and Laura Allison of Shrewsbury; and nieces and nephews.
Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev. Fred A. Walthour.
