Louise J. Schaefer, 85, of York, died at 11:05 a.m. Tuesday at Autumn House West in York. She was the wife of the late Howard F. Schaefer.
The service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St., Dallastown. Burial will be in New Fairview Church Cemetery in York. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Schaefer was born April 16, 1914, in Shrewsbury Township. She was the daughter of the late William E. and Ida May (Lerew) Arnold.
Prior to her retirement, she was a quality control inspector for the former Jason Manufacturing Co. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in York.
Mrs. Schaefer is survived by a son, William A. Schaefer of Burlington, Iowa; two granddaughters; four brothers, Carl Arnold, Stewart Arnold and Sterling Arnold, all of York, and Earl Arnold of Seven Valleys; two sisters, Laura Allison of Shrewsbury and Mary Schaefer of York.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Dennis C. Quackenboss.
