Donald Bryan Arnold, 59, of Murrells Inlet, S.C., formerly of York, died on Monday,
December 16, 2002, at Waccamaw Community Hospital.
Born February 25, 1943, in Jacobus, to the late Carl O. and Malinda (Dietz) Arnold. Mr. Arnold was a 1961 graduate of William Penn Senior High School. He worked as a machinist with Borg Warner Corp. for 18 years and worked at Applicon as a systems analyst in King of Prussia for 10 years. Mr. Arnold was a member of Murrells Inlet Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge and Viking Association in York.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce (Hess) Arnold; son, Michael A. Arnold of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; daughter, Melissa S. Becker of York; grandchildren, Timothy, Marc, Lindsey and Bryanna; and brothers, Carl D. Arnold and Theodore E. Arnold, both of Jacobus, Richard L. Arnold and Roger E. Arnold, both of York, Robert L. Arnold of Wrightsville, Marvin L. Arnold of Landisville and George E. Arnold of Jackson, Miss. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Salem United Church of Christ, 24 Franklin St., Jacobus. Officiating will be Rev. Fred A. Walthour.
Final resting place will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. There will be a viewing prior to the service, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home Inc., York (Shiloh), is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association Memorial Center, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, Va. 23058-5216.
