Mr. Sorrell

Lanett - Mr. Curtis Worth Sorrell, 80, of Lanett, died Wednesday morning at his residence.

Services were scheduled for 4 p.m. today at the Lanett First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Phillip Sessions, Rev. J.H. King and Rev. Blackaby officiating. Burial followed at the Resthaven cemetery in Huguley.

Mr. Sorrell is survived by his wife, Mrs. Icy Mae House Sorrell; one daughter, Mrs. Bette Stuart of West Point; five brothers, Rae Sorrell, O.D. Sorrell, Lewis Sorrell, Jack Sorrell, all of Lanett and Engman Sorrell of LaFayette; one sister Kathryne Lemerle Scott of Montgomery; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was a former employee of the West Point Manufacturing Company, where he worked for 30 years. He retired from the Barker Auto Service in Melbourne, Florida, in 1969, where he was employed as an Auto Engineer.

The family received friends Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
