Catharine A. Lindsay, 86, of Carlisle, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, in Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle.

Born Jan. 22, 1916, in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Thomas A. and Ella Lay Adams and the widow of the Rev. Harry Lindsay.

She assisted her husband in his ministry at Community Baptist Church, Carlisle, for more than 50 years.

Mrs. Lindsay is survived by a daughter, Cynthia L. Porter of Carlisle; two brothers, Robert A. Adams and W. Ritter Adams, both of Carlisle; two sisters, Jean Zeigler and Beatrice Williams, both of Carlisle; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Goldstein.

Graveside services will be in Westminster Cemetery, North Middleton Township, at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Alan Robinson officiating.

Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of the arrangements.
