LANCASTER - Mr. Harry Baker Plyler 75, died Sunday, May 11, 1997 at his home.

Born in Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Pinkney Andrew and Mary Lucy Baker Plyler. He was a retired supervisor for Springs Industries, was a WWII Army Veteran having served in the South Pacific and was a member at Hopewell United Methodist Church.

Mr. Plyler is survived by his wife, Mrs. Peggy Clough Plyler of Lancaster; 2 sons, 2 daughters, a brother, P.A. Plyler, Jr. of Lancaster; sisters, Mrs. John D. (Lucille) McAteer and Mrs. Jasper Ray (Mae) Sistare, both of Lancaster; 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at Immanuel Baptist Church by Rev. Dale Roach, Rev. Dr. Rodney K. Powell and Rev. Don Knight. Interment is in Lancaster Memorial Park.
