Lancaster - Earl Preston Plyler, 75, died Thursday. Born in Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Pinkney Andrew and Lucy Baker Plyler. He was a retired shift supervisor with Springs Industries and was a member of Hopewell UMC and Camp Creek Masonic Lodge 317.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Estelle Williams Plyler; a son, Douglas E. Plyler of Lancaster; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Mary Lane of Lancaster; stepsons, Charles Funderburk of Spindale, NC, and the Rev. Don Funderburk of Denmark, SC; sisters, Mrs. Clefa Aycothe, Mrs. Lucille McAteer and Mrs. Mae Sistare, all of Lancaster; and brothers, Harry and P.A. Plyler, Jr. both of Lancaster.
