Frances (Janke) Wilshire, age 85, of Elm Mott, passed away early Thursday morning, January 19, 2006 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Gerald Cemetery, with the Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wilshire was born on May 18, 1920 in McLennan County, the daughter of Adolph and Hulda (Friedrich) Janke. She attended Gerald and other schools in the area. On April 19, 1942, she was united in marriage to Emmitt "E.D." Wilshire in Gerald. He preceded her in death on October 1, 1997. Frances was a homemaker and loved being at home and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed the outdoors and working in the yard. She was a member of the Elk's Club and St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald.

Five brothers, Roy Edward Janke, Lloyd Adolph Janke, Louis Walter Janke, Herbert Carl Janke and Monroe William Janke; and one sister, Agnes Minnie Janke Harris, all preceded her in death.

Survivors include one son, Richard Wilshire and his wife Sue of Elm Mott; a sister, Oden Martha Janke Erwin of Waco: a grandson, Richard Scott Wilshire and his wife Mary of Falconer, NY; a granddaughter, Candace Renee Dulock and Jay White, both of Elm Mott; three great grandsins, Cody Ryan Dulock of Elm Mott, and Richard Waylon Wilshire and Christian Myregaard Wilshire of Falconer, NY; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Honorary pallbearers are Monroe Janke Jr., Maurice Janke, John Erwin, Jerry Chudej, Jack Chaneyworth, and L.J. Willenborg Jr.

Memorials may be made to the Elm Mott Volunteer Fire Department or Gerald Cemetery Association.
