Former Hoopeston Resident Succumbs

Earl Justice, 58, former Hoopeston resident, passed away at 10 a.m. Saturday near Blissfield, Mich., of a heart attack.
Born Feb. 5, 1896, at Anderson, Ind., son of William and Lucinda Goins Justice, he was married to Myrle Crose, May 23, 1919, at Danville.
Surviving are the wife, three daughters, Mrs. Robert G. Brown, Hoopeston, Marjorie and Carolyn at home, and four sons, Robert of Blissfield, Mich.; Eugene and William of Adrian, Mich.; and Ronald, who is with the U.S. Air Force and stationed at San Antonio, Texas. Also surviving are two brothers, Geo. Justice of Hoopeson and C. O. Bratton of Adrian, Mich.
He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Hughie Johnson of Hoopeston; Mrs. Dovie Robertson of Ann Arbor, Mich.; Mrs. Myrtle Goins of Crothers, Ohio, and by seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, two sisters and two brothers.
A veteran of WWI, he was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, No. 1227, of Hoopeston.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday at the Hamilton Funeral Home, with Reb. J. D. Havener, of the Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Ira Owen Kreager Post of the American Legion.
Friends may call at the funeral home tonight between 7 and 9 p.m.
