William Dee Justice Sr.
ADRIAN - William Dee Justice, Sr., age 69, of Adrian, died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at the University of Michigan Hospital.
He was born March 2, 1931, in Hoopeston, IL, to Earl and Myrle (Crose) Justice. On April 27, 1952, William married Dorothy Powell in Adrian, and she survives. Willam was employed by American Chan& Cable for 24 years as an inspector, retiring March 1, 1983. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was awarded the Purple Heart on March 13, 1951, for wounds received in action against the enemy. He was a past member of American Legion Post # 97 and a life member of DAV Post # 20 and VFW Annis-Fint Post # 1584. William was member of St. John's Lutheran Church and enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, playing bingo, and previously bowling and playing golf.
In addition to his wife, Dorothy Jean, William is survived by one son, William Dee Justice, Jr., and his wife, Amy, of Adrian; three daughters, Cindy Biggs and her husband, Jon, of Adrian, Nancy Liski and her husband, Rich, of Harrison, Mich., and Lori Denig and her husband, Mike, of Adrian; one brother Gene Justice and his wife, Delores, of Adrian; two sisters, Marie Brown of Hoopeston, IL. and Sue Cade and her husband, Don, of Champaign, IL; eight grandchildren, Scott Biggs and his wife, Karen, and their children, Andrea, Stephan, and Seth, Todd Biggs and his wife, Heidi, Duaine Justice, Heather Justice, Ashley Liski, Dayne Liski, Erin Denig and Danielle Denig, and 27 nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents and three brothers, Robert Justice, Ronnie Justice and Kenneth Justice in infancy, and a sister, Margie Justice.
Funeral services for William will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2000, at 11 a.m. at Anderson Funeral Home with Pastor J. V. Moyer officiating. Interment will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park in Adrian with full military rites conducted by Dav Post # 20 and VFW Annis-Fint Post # 1584. Visitation hours will be on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, the VFW or DAV. Envelopes are available at the Anderson Funeral Home.
