Antoinette Fessler, 79, a Manitowoc resident who was currently residing at Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc, died Saturday evening, August 10, at Park Lawn.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Leo Schmitt and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Fessler, nee Antoinette Gehrig, was born December 17, 1905, at St. Nazianz, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Bernard and Rose Heinzen Gehrig. She married Norbert G. Fessler on October 12, 1931, at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. The couple moved to Manitowoc after their marriage and resided here since. He preceded her in death on March 27, 1961. Mr. Fessler was employed at Holy Family Hospital. She was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers Altar Society.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Cecelia Fessler of Manitowoc and Thomas Fessler of Alhambra, California; a granddaughter, Bonnie Fessler of Manitowoc; four brothers, Joseph Gehrig of Manitowoc, Edmund and Herman Gehrig of Sheboygan, and Hubert Gehrig of De Pere; seven sisters, Isabelle Fessler and Rose Gehrig of Manitowoc, Maline Schultz of Rockford, Illinois, Anna Diehl of New Port Richy , Florida, Olga Powers of Chicago, Eleanor Radwick of Sheboygan, and Margaret Pribyl of Cicero, Illinois. She was preceded in death by a son, John, and a brother, Walter.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday where a prayer service will be at 8 p.m. led by Deacon Don Gigure.
