Rose E. Gehrig, age 94, formerly of 1433 N. 6th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday evening December 22, 1994, at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 26, 1994, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Justin Pierce with entombment to follow in the Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
She was born August 24, 1900, at St. Nazianz, daughter of the late Bernhard and Rosa Heinzen Gehrig. Miss Gehrig owned and operated the Annette Beauty Salon for many years retiring in 1970. Miss Gehrig is a member of the Daughters of Isabella, St. Anne's Society, St. Boniface Catholic Church, and the American Legion Auxiliary Drews Bleser Unit #88.
Survivors include two brothers and a sister-in-law, Joseph Gehrig, Manitowoc, Herman Gehrig, Sheboygan, Marion Gehrig, DePere; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Maline Schulz, Rockford, Ill., Ann and Peter Bartkus, Holiday, Fla., Margaret Pribyul, Cicero, Ill.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, Edmund and Hubert Gehrig, and four sisters, Eleanor Radwick, Isabel and Antoinette Fessler, Olga Powers.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 9 a.m. Monday, December 26, 1994, until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. There will be no Sunday evening visitation.
