The 1900 US Census shows Lucinda and Samuel Boyer living on a farm in Plattville, Mills County, IA. Lucinda was born in Ohio and Samuel was born in Pennsylvania. Living with them are Arthur L. Boyer, born in September 1881, Samuel J. Boyer, born in May 1885, and Fredie H. Boyer, born in 1888.

By 1900 their daughter Lucinda Ellen, born in 1879, had already married Lafe Emerine.

The 1910 census shows their older son, Mahlon and his family, living next door in Plattville. Mahlon had been born in Ohio.

Lucinda's husband died in 1912. She died in 1925.
