Amanda Schneider, 95, formerly of W5133 Creek Ave., Merrill, died Thursday July 22, 1993, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill. She was born Jan. 23, 1898, in the town of Scott, the daughter of the late Herman F. Amanda Schneider and Minnie (Weishahn) Krueger. She married George Schneider on Nov. 15, 1919, in Merrill. He preceded her in death on May 3, 1979. Amanda was a homemaker and a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill. Survivors include three sons, George (Ruth) Schneider Jr., Harold (Lorraine) Schneider, and Robert (Sandra) Schneider, all of Merrill; one brother, George Krueger, Reedsburg; eight grandchildren, and 12 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Adam; one daughter Elsie; and nine brothers. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, 1993, at St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill. Pastor Robert Brandt will officiate. Burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park, Merrill. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Taylor-Mann-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, and again from 9 a.m. Tuesday until time of services at the church.
