OBITUARY-
AUSTIN -- August A. Krueger, 87, of 605 15th Ave. S.W., a retired Geo. A. Hormel & Co. employee, died Friday (Feb. 21, 1992) in St. Mark's Lutheran Home in Austin.

Born Nov. 17, 1904, in Merrill, Wis., he married E. Elsie Smith on April 15, 1925, in Richland Center, Wis. Mr. Krueger was a saw mill worker in Wisconsin before moving to Austin in 1938. He began working at Hormel in 1942 and retired from the hog cut in 1969. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; a sister, Amanda Schneider of Merrill, Wis.; and a brother, George of Reedburg, Wis. Eight brothers preceded him in death.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in St. John's Lutheran Church in Austin, with the Rev. William Natzke officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery in Austin.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Mayer Funeral Home in Austin and an hour before the service Tuesday at the church.
