Ray Lemoine Cook, 87, a 38 year resident of Woodland Ave.,Grove City, died Friday, Aug.20, 2004 at Trinity Living Center after an extended illness, he was a resident of Trinty the past two years.
Born in Argentine, Washington Township, July 9, 1917, he was the son of John and Lillian Walley Cook.
He retired in 1979 as a machine operator at General Electric in Grove City after eight years. He formally at Cooper Energy and Tasa Coal.
Mr. Cook was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Surviving are four children, Richard L. Cook and Virginia Welton of Kennerdale; and Donals R. Cook and Linda Shaffer both of Grove City; and a sister, Betty Gladd of Butler, h is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
His wife, Minnie Lorain McLaughlin Cook, whom he married July 11, 1947, died Nov. 18, 2003. Five brother, five sisters, and three grandchildren preceded him in death.
Friends were received Monday at Cunningham Funeral Home, Grove City. Services were Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Merritt Edner, his church pastor officiated. Burial was at Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City.
