John Cook, 70, of Hilliards died at 11pm. Monday, at Bashline Osteopathic Hospital, Grove City, after a lingering illness.
Born in Hilliards, he lived his entire life in that area. He was a coal miner by occupation.
Surviving are three sons, Charles H. of Hilliards, Ray L. of Grove City, and Clyde L. of Butler; five daughters, Mrs. Charles(Agnes) Kiser of Hilliards, Mrs. Walter (Bernice) Patterson of Tarentum, Mrs. Erla Morgan of New York City, Mrs. Roy (Verda) Hutchison of North Washington, and Mrs. Betty Nestoff of Hilliards; 22 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and one brother, William H. Cook of Hilliards.
Friends will be received at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kiser of Hilliards, beginning at noon, Wednesday. The body will be removed to the Hilliards Methodist Church at 1 pm. Friday where funeral services will be held at 2 pm. The Rev. George Nolder, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will be in Ridgeville Cemetery. Arrangements by Young Funeral Home, West Sunbury.
