Minnie L. Cook,78, of Woodland Ave., Grove City, PA. died at 2 A.M. Tuesday, Nov.18, 2003 in her home.
She was born July 20, 1925 in Volant, Springfield Township, Mercer County, the daughter of Francis and Ada McLaughlin.
Mrs. Cook was a homemaker and had been employed with the George J. Howe Co. as a packer and the Jamesway Co. of Grove City as a ladies department manager.
She was a 1944 graduate of Butler High School and a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Grove City.
She is survived by her husband, Ray L. "Bud" Cook whom she married July 11, 1947 and now lives at Trinty Living Center in Grove City; a daughter Linda Shaffer of Grove City; a son Donald R. Cook of Grove City; two stepchildren, Richard L. Cook and Virginia Welton, both of Kennerdale; three sisters, Hilda Hoagland and Evelyn Adams, both of Grove City,and Mary Travalio of Camp Hill;a brother, Arthur McLaughlin of Leeper, five grandchildren, four step grandchildren; and eight step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, a sister and two grandchildren.
There was no visitation. Private family services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Grove City. The rev. John K. Jefferis, pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City.
